Friday, March 17th - Happy St. Patrick's Day
We spent St. Patrick's in a smokey Irish pub in London on Portobello Road. The crowd was a wonderful mix of young and old, some professional's just finished with work and retired people who seemed to be regulars, but all were there to have fun.
We learned about the "baby Guiness" shot - kalhua with a bit of Bailey's at the top.

Do the British go crazy on St. Patrick's Day, or are they low-key about it?
I think the celebrations in New York are bigger than London. But that perception is somewhat unfair as we didn't really research any parades or major Irish areas in London. But every Irish pub we passed that night was full - couldn't get a seat in any of them. Too bad Mr. O'Hurley wasn't somewhere holding our table! The only people we saw wearing Green floppy hats looked like 18 year old tourists.
